DAILY CALL SHEET: MAY 6, 2018

Satan's Storybook

Satan’s Storybook (1989) The only horror anthology to ever feature an ex-porn star, one of Debbie Gibson's backup dancers, and the author of The Howling in a clown suit. And with good reason. TIL: The devil is a henpecked hubby? According to Prov. 21:9, that could explain a lot.

Hey, look at that! It looks like we’ve reached the end of the Facebook…

10 Day Album Challenge

Yow, 10 days was way not enough. Oh well...

In no particular order, post 10 of your all time favorite albums, one per day. Choose music that really made an impact on you and is still something you listen to, even if only occasionally. Post the cover; no need to explain why you chose it.

Day 10 of 10 days

Broan Eno - Another Green World

And finally, while this blog indulges in all things pop culture, we haven’t forgotten what Pope Benedict XVI had to say about today’s noisy world of constant communication. “When messages and information are plentiful,” His Holiness noted, “silence becomes essential if we are to distinguish what is important from what is insignificant or secondary.” That’s why I was more than happy when I lucked into a weekend work schedule that let me take in midday prayer with the monks at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit. It’s always been a good place to filter out the noise. If you have someplace similar nearby where you are, I highly recommend some time spent there.

I saw you've posted that one of your favorite albums is Prince - 1999. That one is one of my favorites, too.

I guess my favorite album is Hello Meteor - The Coastal Obscure:

I love the 80s synth sounds on the album so, that's one of the reasons I love that. I don't think I should be naming the rest of my 9 favorite albums in this comment?

Thanks, I'll give it a listen. I'm always up for any synthwave.
